So the same is true today when were talking about gender and sexuality and these things that may be newer to some people, where we get to say, No, thats actually quite harmful and not funny. The prison system is white supremacy, racism, and modern day "slave catching" at work, and I know that the only thing that separates me from Korey and any other innocent victim is pure luck. And we get to hold multiple truths. And what was really clocked kind of immediately was that I was really effeminate. So I want to get to hold space for both of those things and both those experiences. But us being human and being flawed and being three dimensional, you know, there arent a lot of shows where we get to be inside of our joy, thats not for the white gaze but for us. This is the gayest [expletive] I've ever heard. GOODMAN: Because, you know, everyone wants the idea of queerness and wants the performance of it but not always the people.
